Side mount brackets are used to hang signs to walls, poles or posts, where the message has to be read from both sides, or an offset mount is desired.

6" side mount brackets are attached to the pole or post with steel banding, with two 3/8" through bolts for attaching the sign panel.  The width of the sign mounting channel is designed to take extruded (raised ribs on the top and bottom of the sign) street name signs or flat .125" sign panels.  Lesser thickenesses of sign material can be used, but the gap created will have to be shimmed with washers to allow the mounting bolts to be properly tightened.
